Touching Base

It’s amazing how quickly time flies when you’re busy, so please accept our apologies for the gap in keeping you updated.

  1. Pump Track Project

The Pump Track has continued to absorb a significant number of hours across the team as we move into the final phase. The planning consent included three conditions that required specialist surveys before they could be discharged. We’re pleased to let you know that all surveys have now been completed and submitted to the planning officers for consideration.
We’re hoping for a quick turnaround, as we cannot break ground until everything is formally approved and we receive the green light.

  1. Contractor Engagement

Clark & Kent, our lead contractor and track designer, have remained in close contact and are eager to begin construction of the Dalgety Bay track. We really are very close to physically getting started — the finish line is in sight; we just need to complete the final administrative steps.

  1. The HUB Project

The HUB project is progressing steadily in the background, particularly in relation to securing the necessary funding. In the meantime, we are preparing a small engagement programme for existing users of the Community Centre and the Kabin.
If you have questions for us or the project team, you can contact us at secretary@dalgetycommunitytrust.co.uk.
We’ll also be attending the Dalgety Bay & Hillend Gala in June.

  1. Community Woodlands

Thanks to the amazing volunteers at the Dalgety Bay Community Woodlands Group, work continues across Crow Wood, Hopeward Wood, Bathing House Wood, and Downing Point. They are currently preparing for the increased footfall that comes with spring.
The Trust, through the group, commissioned and completed a survey of the woods, and we’re delighted to report that the resulting recommended works are now almost entirely complete.

  1. Heritage Trail Project

The Heritage Trail team is always busy in the background — scanning, researching, and writing new material. You may have seen their recent “then and now” image posts on Facebook, which are a fantastic way of showing how our town has evolved over the years.
Next week, they will publish their latest research piece, focusing on Dalgety Bay’s story throughout the medieval period.

  1. Stay Connected With Our Project Teams

Remember, we are more than just the Trust and the HUB. Our project teams continue to work across a variety of initiatives, and you can follow their progress on Facebook:
