Thanks once again to everyone who visited us at the Dalgety Bay & Hillend Gala. The Gala has been a must attend event on our calendar since 2019.
In the early years, it was all about engaging with the town and talking through potential projects. Now, we’re delighted to be moving into advanced stages, including planning consent for both the Community Hub and the Dalgety Bay Pump Track.
We’ve had many highlights over the years, but bringing a cycling event to the Gala has become one of our favourites. This year was the third time we’ve rolled up with a fleet of bikes at the Sports Centre — this time in partnership with the Carnegie Cyclones, led by Mark and Graham, who brought an impressive range of bikes and all the safety gear. It was brilliant watching them encourage so many kids to have a go and enjoy the skills loop.
Mark, along with several volunteers, also put on a mini cycling event at last year’s Christmas Fair at the church. We’re very much looking forward to teaming up with him and his team again when the Pump Track opens.
