Dalgety Bay Pump Track

Our Community Pump Track Dream is Becoming a Reality!

After five years of dedication, determination, fundraising, and countless volunteer hours, we’re delighted to say that our dream of creating a free-to-use community pump track is finally becoming a reality!

This is what a community can achieve when people come together. Every penny of the £430,000 needed to build the track has been secured through grant funding by the volunteer-led Dalgety Community Trust, who have also worked tirelessly to obtain all the necessary permissions to make this project happen.

It hasn’t always been an easy journey—we’ve certainly had our fair share of ups and downs (pun intended!)—but thanks to the incredible support of our volunteers, funders, partners, and the wider community, we’re now almost at the finish line. We’re absolutely thrilled to see work underway.

The first week on site has been a fantastic start. Despite a mixed bag of weather, progress has continued at a great pace. The floodlight foundations are now being installed, and the site is being prepared ready for construction of the track itself.

Looking ahead to next week, the floodlight columns will be erected, site drainage will be installed, and the final levelling works will be completed, setting the stage for the next exciting phase of the build.

For everyone’s safety, we’ve had to temporarily close the skatepark while construction is taking place. We know this is disappointing, and we’re working hard on a solution which we hope to share with you over the next few days.

If you’re passing by the Sports and Leisure Centre, why not stop in and see the progress for yourself? It’s exciting to watch this community project take shape, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone to the finished pump track.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this volunteer-led project over the past five years. This really is your community in action, and we look forward to sharing more updates as the build continues!
