Dalgety Bay Pump Track Update
We’re pleased to share that, bar some final snagging and removal of equipment, our Phase One main contractor BIKESCAPES has now completed the site‑preparation stage. A big thank you to Paul and his team for all their hard work.
This phase covered all groundworks, drainage, installation of the floodlight poles, and the fencing.
Acknowledgements We would also like to recognise and thank the following contributors:
- MATHEW CONTRACTS – Site‑access enablement works on Harbour Way
- ZAUN – Fencing supplier
- RM LIGHTING – Rob and his team have been excellent supporters of the project, supplying the floodlighting system and returning soon to commission the lights
Next Phase
The next step is to connect the floodlights to the mains supply. This work is scheduled for mid‑September. Our thanks in advance to the contractors who will be carrying out this phase:
- LOGAN & BRUCE
- SPEN
- RM LIGHTING
- FIFE COUNCIL
Skatepark Access
The Skatepark will remain open for use until we begin the final construction stage, when Clarke & Kent arrive to build the finished track. At that point, we may need to close the Skatepark on weekdays while materials are being brought in. However, as before, we will aim to open it at weekends whenever it is safe to do so.
We are now approaching the final stage, when the Dalgety Community Trust will open a brand new community facility. This has been a long term ambition for our town, and we couldn’t have reached this point without your support, and of course the funders and partner organisations whose contributions have made the project possible.
We will share full details of all funders and supporters closer to the opening, when we can recognise everyone properly.
