Dalgety Community Trust is a member-led organisation, it’s members will ultimately decide what the priorities of the Trust should be and how the Trust should operate. In the future, this includes deciding on who they want to run the Trust on their behalf. Each year members will have the opportunity at the Annual General Meeting of the Trust to decide who they want to be directors of the company for the subsequent year.
Like many voluntary organisations, our Board directors are volunteers drawn from the membership. Dalgety Community Trust can’t exist without volunteer board members who take on the shared responsibility for running the organisation. We would encourage all members to consider whether they would like the opportunity to put themselves forward to be a director of the Trust. You don’t need management experience, you just need to have a real interest in helping the Trust succeed. Training and support are available and the time commitment should be something that anybody can manage, even those in full-time employment! Between formal general meetings, there will periodically be board director vacancies which arise as well, so we would encourage anyone who might be interested in filling such roles to make their interest known by writing to the Secretary of the Trust at [email protected]
